SCHOLARSHIP ASSISTANCE

NEFDA members can be proud of their associations on-going scholarship program. Membership support has allowed the association to annually award scholarships to deserving students.

SCHOLARSHIP FUND GUIDELINES:

Parent must be employed at a member company.

First preference will be to person(s) entering college, second will be person(s) attending college.

Along with application, a copy of high school transcript or previous years educational transcript must be submitted.

Monies will not be awarded until a letter of acceptance from the college has been submitted to the NEFDA.

Three (3) letters of recommendation, whether they be clergy, employer, teacher etc., must accompany application.

Application(s) accepted will be based upon financial need and academic performance.

All information is pertinent. Applications must be complete and received no later than July 1.

PROFESSIONAL ADVANCEMENT COURSES:

In addition to its regular scholarship program, the N.E.F.D.A. has set aside limited funds to financially assist employees of member companies for professional advancement in the fastener industry.

To qualify, an employee must be employed for a minimum of 2 years with a member company, not including officers or general managers, and the course subject material must be directly related to the employee's current position at the member company. Maximum assistance from the N.E.F.D.A. is limited to $200.00 annually, with a lifetime limit of $600.00.

EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS:

The NEFDA is dedicated to continuing education of its members. Educational Seminars have been conducted twice a year at no cost to members. Past seminars have included Service to Customers, Credit and Collections, Fastener Testing, ISO-9000 Quality Procedures, Freight Management, The Internet and Distribution and others.
